Almost nobody is interested about a Facebook cellphone, says survey

Despite the fact that there has not been much proof until lately to support a Facebook or myspace cellphone, gossips on the topic have been preparing for many years now. That is all good and well but is anyone actually enthusiastic about purchasing a device with a large social media focus?

According to at least one study, the answer is no. A latest study performed by Retrevo found that 82 % of participants had zero interest purchasing a Facebook or myspace smart phone or Facebook or myspace telephone assistance. 15 % of those inquired said they would need to know more about the product / assistance while only three % were fascinated.

With that kind of reaction, one has to wonder why the online community would be interested in generating their own smart phone. Surely they have conducted researching the industry to evaluate attention but perhaps it has to do with the market they are after. One would have to imagine that such a system would be targeted towards teenagers and teenagers, but I digress.

The responses where similar when participants were asked if they would purchase an Amazon smart phone with Amazon telephone assistance. On average, approximately 66 % of people had no attention in a device or assistance from Amazon. Nearly a one fourth said they would need more information before deciding either way with only 9.8 % declaring they would buy such a system.

If either of these mobile phones actually come to pass, they will have problems competitive with heavy players like Apple, New samsung and even Htc for business.
