The prepaid WiFi service provider is getting up its activity as others encroach upon its no-contract company.
Pre-paid service provider Cricket Wi-fi wants to make sure it doesn't get shut out of the no-contract game.
With T-Mobile making a lot of noise about its no-contract programs, Cricket, a unit of Jump Wi-fi, is offering loved ones members package that contains two smart phone programs for $40 each monthly. Individual smart phone programs price $50 monthly. The programs were effective starting last night.
In addition, Cricket brought its iPhone strategy down to the standard $50 price, such as endless calling, sms messages, and 1 gb of full-speed information. A more expensive $60 strategy provides 2.5GB of information, while the top-tier $70 strategy provides 5GB. The previous iPhone strategy price $55 monthly.
The close relatives programs require an Automatic Bill Pay in which the consideration is tied to a bank cards, debit cards, or banking consideration.
Curiously, Cricket doesn't mention T-Mobile in its news release. It only objectives AT&T, offering of loved ones members strategy that is half the price of what the telecoms giant offers.
T-Mobile, in the same way, doesn't collection itself up against the traditional prepaid carriers. Its ads and executive comments mostly focus on AT&T.
With T-Mobile and MetroPCS near consolidating, Jump is seen as left out of any major deals in the wireless business. Most industry experts believe Jump can't survive in the long run without mixing itself with a larger company.
